SloMSIC

SloMSIC (Slovenian Medical Students' International Committee) is a dynamic, nonprofit and apolitical organization of enthusiastic medicine students, that are eager to cooperate with their foreign colleagues during their studies with variety of projects and therefore provide the flow of information from abroad to Slovene students.

We have full membership in IFMSA (International federation of Medical Students' Associations) and EMSA (European Medical Students' Association) with another 62 countries that are members of both organizations. With organization of congresses, workshops and humanitarian projects we have established our own relationship to current medical problems at home and around the world.

We take care of student’s personal development with knowledge, experience at team work, public performances, taking leadership and responsibility for the projects. This way we are helping to create new hospital directors, institute superiors, professors and other leaders in this generation.

GOALS

To enable extracurricular education for Slovene students abroad and foreign students in Slovenia and direct students in cooperation at a global level. Each medicine student should educate himself abroad at least once during his education and his knowledge should then be confirmed by the university as equal learning method for gaining the needed knowledge and experience.
To spread medical and humanitarian ethics between medical students and use their knowledge to help refugees and poor people.

To establish connections between students and international organizations, cultural and humanitarian events and with this better efficiency in intercultural surrounding. To create a new, own relation to ethical and other topical health problems in contemporary society.
